Warren D. Hastie, 83
Funeral services for Warren D. Hastie, 83, of 3507 29th Avenue West, will be at 3 o'clock tomorrow in the Arthur A. Wright & Son Chapel, with cremation following. He died Saturday of a stroke. Born in Deadwood, South Dakota, Mr. Hastie first came here in 1891, then went to Alaska for three years. He returned to Seattle to play football for the University of Washington in 1903, going to Nevada the next year. There he was a hoisting engineer and mine foreman until returning here in 1917. Before retiring in 1944, Mr. Hastie owned the Pacific Coast Auto Rebuild. He was a member of the Seattle Executives' Club and Seattle Lodge No. 92, Elks. His wife, May, survives. The family suggests remembrances to charity.
