Cheryl Louise Pruitt, 57, of Hamilton died Aug. 16, 2006 at Hamilton. Graveside funeral services were held Aug. 19 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Keith Felton officiating.
Mrs. Pruitt was born Dec. 20, 1948 at Dallas, the daughter of C.W. Shelton and Hilda Williamson Pruitt.
She moved with her family to Waxahachie at young age where she attended school graduating from Waxahachie High School. In April of 1970 she was married to James Hubert Pruitt at Waxahachie and moved to Hamilton. He preceded her in death in September of 1992.
She was a seamstress, working for Pattis of Texas and Walls manufacturing where she was employed for 14 years.
She loved to sew and received great joy in making things for her grandchildren that she so dearly loved. She was private person and very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Steven Michael Pruitt, of Hamilton; five grandchildren; one sister, Linda Fischer of Waxahachie and one brother Carl Shelton of Grand Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one infant child, Susan Gayle Pruitt.
