Dorothy Sue Allen, Age 66, of Sparta, formerly of Moss, Dorothy Sue Allen passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville, TN
She was born September 01, 1946 in Moss, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Lassie (Swezea) Allen. Sue was affiliated with the Church of Christ and The Pacesetter's Center in Sparta, TN. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Tezzie Allen and Clarence Doyle Allen and Sister: Lillie B. Rich.
She is survived by: Sister, Gladys Lenihan of Georgia, Nieces: Sheila Anderson and Reba Boles of Celina, TN, Sandra Lee of Indiana, Maxine Andrews, Margaret Gartner, Jackie Anderson of MI, Debbie Shaffer of Ohio, Nephews: Denny Lutrell of Georgia, Jerry Lutrell of Ohio, and Scott Allen of Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2013 at Upton Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Moss Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Upton Funeral Home
Serving as pallbears were: David Key, Joe Boles, Josh Taylor, Chatt Holaway, and Freddie Adcocx.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to the Allen Family Memorial Fund at the office of Upton Funeral Home.
