Franklin - Junius Bradshaw was born on October 12, 1924 and went home to be with The Lord on January 17, 2021 at the age of 96. He was a native of the Black Creek area of Southampton County and lived his married life in the Colosse and Franklin areas of Isle of Wight County. He was employed with Union Camp for 42 years and was known as The Kite Man. He had been an active member of Black Creek, Colosse and Tucker Swamp Baptist Churches.



He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Freda Wilkins Bradshaw and 11 siblings.

He is survived by his sons and their wives, Gerald and Theresa, Steve and Jan; Grandchildren, Darnelle Kellison (George), Russ (Stacey), Josh (Ann), Bryce (Taylor) and Hannah; 4 great-grand children, Lexi, Colt, Piper, and Grayson; and several nieces and nephews.



Additionally, he was blessed with special caregivers: Paulette, Wendy, Laverne, Vanessa, Krystal, Betsy, and Audrey.



Because of the continued threat of Covid-19, a viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 1PM, followed by a memorial service at 2PM in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial will follow at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor.
