ARLINGTON Vivian D. Galusha, 83, a resident of Andrews Lane, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

ARLINGTON Vivian D. Galusha, 83, a resident of Andrews Lane, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
Vivian was born in Arlington on Nov.25, 1929, the daughter of Edward J. and Myrtle (West) Grover and attended local schools.
Vivian worked as a manager at the IGA in Arlington for many years and also worked as a waitress in area restaurants.
Vivian was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Arlington, and being the amazing cook that she was, was responsible for putting on many of the meals at the American Legion. Vivian was also known for her green thumb. It often was said that she could grow anything. Most of all, Vivian loved to be at home, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Vivian is survived by her son, Robert Dennis Galusha, and his wife, Collette, of Arlington; her sister, Dorothy Grout of Arlington; her grandchildren, Dennis, Angela, Michael, Jeffrey, Jason, and Jacob, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Galusha, who died Dec. 18, 1978, and by her sons, Brian and Jeffrey Galusha.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Vivian will be Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 12 noon at HANSON-WALBRIDGE & SHEA FUNERAL HOME ARLINGTON CHAPEL, Historic Route 7A, Arlington. The Rev. Kathleen Clark of the Federated Church of East Arlington will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 10 to 12 noon, two hours prior to the service.
