Tim M. Campbell, 66, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Gaymont Nursing Home, Norwalk, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Norwalk, and grew up in Wakeman. He worked for over 36 years and retired from Norwalk Furniture. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cavs, and Indians. His favorite band was the Beatles. Tim was a son of the American Legion Post 41.

He was survived by his wife of over 37 years, Janet (Hammersmith) Campbell; daughters, Kimberly (Campbell) and Benjamin Pigman of Stow, Ohio, and Carey (Campbell) and Joshua Ward of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Nate and Natalie Pigman, and Landon, Ellie and Lincoln Ward; sister, Cindy (Bill) Taylor; brothers, James (DeAnn) Campbell of Norwalk, and Steven Campbell; step-mother, Carolyn Campbell of Wakeman; step-father, Ralph Walter of New London; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Gaius Campbell of Wakeman; mother, Anne (Marsh) Walter of New London; and his mother- and father-in-law, Margaret and Ray Hammersmith of Norwalk.

Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, May 16, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St. Norwalk, followed by burial at St. Paul Cemetery.
