Joseph Anthony Lovuolo
(October 17, 1935 - November 13, 2009)

Joseph Anthony Lovuolo, 74, of Swiftwater, died Friday, November 13 at home. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Hillman) Lovuolo.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Anthony and Ida (Sciortino) Lovuolo. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School in New Jersey.
Joe owned and operated Slice N Spice in Fords, N.J., the Olde Towne Deli and Liquor in South Amboy, N.J., and the Olde Towne Deli in Stroudsburg, Pa. He was very active in the Knights of Columbus Pocono Mountain Council #4159 , where he served as Past District Deputy and Past Grand Knight and the 4th Degree Assembly #981, where he served as Past Faithful Navigator. Joe instituted the Christmas Party at Burnley Workshop. He was also a huge New York Giants Fan.
In addition to his wife, Pat, he is survived by four sons, Anthony Lovuolo of Quakertown, Robert Lovuolo and his wife Ann, of Nazareth, Joseph B. Lovuolo and his wife Pam, of Neola, James Lovuolo of Savannah, GA; a daughter, Dawn Fabian and her husband, Mark of Nazareth; a brother, Robert Lovuolo and his wife Elizabeth, of Dayton, NJ; and seven grandchildren, Anthony, Brian, Justin, Christopher, Samantha, Nikki, and Adrienne. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Michael Lovuolo in 1990.
There will be a viewing on Monday, November 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17 at St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. Entombment will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Avenue, Mt. Pocono, Pa. 18344 and the American Heart Association, 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem Pa. 18018
