The daughter of John & Rebecca McCoy, Elizabeth married Luther on May 20, 1857. Together they had 11 children, 9 who survived to adulthood. In her later years Elizabeth was hard of hearing and that may have contributed to her being killed by a passing train in Teegarden.

Gravesite Details

The stele is very faded at this point, being of sandstone rather than granite. The inscription on the sides away from the prevailing wind is much clearer.
