TEXAS CITY - Mrs. Estella
Carr, 78. of 914 3rd Ave. South,
died Tuesday night in Galveston
County Memorial Hospital alter
a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday in. Galilee United
Methodist Church of Texas City,
the Rev. David Houston, pastor,
officiating.
Burial will in
Mainland Memorial Cemetery in
Hitchcock under the direction
of the Mainland Funeral Home
of La Marque.
A wake will be held from
7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
Mrs. Carr was born Nov.
8, 1892, in Belton, Texas, and
had resided in Texas City for
52 years.
She was a member of Caperaum
Chapter 211, Order of the Eastern
Star, which she had served for
22 years as worthy matron.
Survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. Gabriel Lena Scott of
Texas City, two grandchildren
and three great - grandchildren.
Friends may call after I p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
