Burial will follow in the Shanks Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mr. Leonard was born January 13, 1940 in Rayville and passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Minden, LA.
Mr. Leonard attended the First Assembly of God Church in Rayville. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses, and boxing. Independent trucking and his family were very important to him.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Alice Spencer; brother-in-law, Benny Roark; special aunt, Blanch Farrar Young.
Survivors include wife, DaWanna Spencer of Rayville; children, Len Spencer and wife, Teresa of Rayville, Chris Spencer of Tulsa, Ok, William 'Boo" Spencer of Homer, LA, Renee Spencer Boyle and husband, Mickey of Homer, LA, Tonya Spencer Wilkie of Rockwood, TN, LaWanna Spencer of Rayville, Christian Spencer of Rayville, and Cody Spencer of Rayville; 10-grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Roark of Monroe and Sharon Tudor and husband, Eddie of Pearl, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Roy Franklin, Fred Franklin, Gary Freeland, Tyler Richardson, Greg Gibson, and Roy Stanley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Jimmy Sanders (Richland), Ronnie Taylor, Doyle Rogers, Billy Strachan, Bill Gibson, Charles Lockwood, and Gerald Barnett.
Visitation is 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15th at the Rayville First Assembly of God Church and 9:00 AM until the service at 10:00 AM, Friday at the church.
