GULFPORT -- Mr. Louis Stewart McCaleb Jr., 78, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mr. McCaleb was born in Gulfport and had been a resident of Gulfport most of his life. He was an Episcopalian. He was retired from Entex (United Gas), where he was a division administration manager. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a former member of the Lions Club and the Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Stewart and Isabella Quint McCaleb; and a brother, Edward McCaleb.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie McCaleb of Gulfport; a daughter, Charlotte Hutchinson of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Lucky McCaleb of Cincinnati and Mike McCaleb of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Wink of Gulfport; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to one's favorite charity.
