Tommie Louise Miller
Age 77, passed away on October 24, 2012 in Plano, Texas. Born March 7, 1935 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Millard and Ella Marie (Davis) Morris. Tommie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Floyd William Miller; daughter, Shannon Johnson and husband Mike; son, Steven Miller and wife Terry; grandchildren, Nathan Pheiffer and wife Jenni, Erin Pheiffer, Sam Pheiffer, Megan Gattis and husband Jason and Mallory Miller. Mrs. Miller graduated from O.U. in 1955 with a degree in nursing which began her long and fulfilling career as a RN. She was a proud Sooner fan! After retiring, Tommie volunteered with both the Red Cross and Visiting Nurses Association. She was a voracious reader and a lifelong lover of learning. Her interests included art, traveling, sewing, knitting, genealogy, and animals. Most importantly, she valued special moments shared with her family and her feline companion, Hunter. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 3 pm at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, 1901 E. Peters Colony, Carrollton, TX. 75007.
