Mr. John Tyler Ricketts III, December 12, 1942 - November 4, 2011, passed away at his home in Silver Spring, MD.
He was the son of Mildred Frank Ricketts and the late John T. Ricketts Jr. of Gaithersburg, MD.
Survived by sisters, Stephanie L. Brogan of Hartwood, VA and Pamela J. Evans of Boyds, MD; in addition he is survived by brother Mark E. Ricketts of Georgetown, SC.
John retired from Associated Press in January of 2008 as Executive Director of Broadcasting, Washington, DC.
A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at The St. James Episcopal Church, 1307 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, MD 21771. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to in Honor of John Tyler Ricketts III.
