Moses was a well known citizen of Tazewell Co., Va born in McDowell Co. in 1851. He was the son of James Beavers and Amanda Whitt. He passed away after an illness of four weeks in 1940.
He was united with the Baptist Church in 1894 and came to Tazewell Co. with his family in November 1902.
Funeral services were conduscted by the Rev. S.F. Adair of Ritter, WV. and assisted by the Rev. E.M. Evans of Honaker and the Rev. Tom Beavers of Richlands. Burial was in the family cemetery.
