John Pryor
John (Jeff) Pryor, 77, of 41 Marlboro Ave., Wilkes-Barre, died Monday night at home. Born in Luzerne, son of the late Patrick and Margaret Gregson Pryor, he was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Luzerne. He lived most of his life in Wilkes-Barre and for many years owned and operated an ice and coal business. He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre.
He is survived by his wife, the former Kathryn Brader of Wilkes-Barre; sons, John, Dillsburg; Raymond, New Cumberland; daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Mitchell, Stauffer Heights, Pittston; brothers, Patrick, Wilkes-Barre; Frank, Luzerne; Eugene, Trucksville; sister, Mrs. Esther McCreary, Carteret, N.J; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Thursday at 9 from McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Therese's Church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
