Warren Wynn Rogers, 92 of Columbus, IN and a resident of Huntington for over 50 years, passed away Sunday May 12, 2013 at 1:55 am at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana with his children by his side. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Signal Corps in WW II, and owned Rogers Feed and Grain until 1976. He worked as a mechanic at Hiner Transport. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a 65 year member of Mt. Sterling Lodge #260 F. & A.M., Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and a member of Scottish Rite, Lions Club, and Optimists.
Wynn was born January 20, 1921 in Dallas County, Missouri, the son of Joseph Clair and Leona Lee (Cox) Rogers. On June 6, 1948 he married Bulah Hall in Mt. Sterling, Ohio; who passed away September 27, 1994. He is survived by 2 daughters Karen Sue (John) Koorsen of Marshalltown, Iowa and Kathleen Ann (Mike) Cooper-Childers of Columbus, IN, a son James Warren (Jill) Rogers of Parrish, FL, 5 grandchildren Elizabeth Hollingsworth, Matthew Rogers, Jonathon Koorsen, Jacqueline Rogers and Kimberly Cooper; 4 great-grandchildren Zoe Snow, Lexi Snow, Kate Hollingsworth, and Elle Hollingsworth and 2 brothers Leonard (Pat) Rogers of Circleville, Ohio and Jack Rogers of Mt. Sterling, Ohio. He was preceded in death by 1 sister JoLee Faber.
Visitation will be held Wednesday May 15, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel and one hour prior to the funeral service at 10:00 am Thursday May 16, with burial following in Mt Hope Cemetery.
