James died fighting in the Civil War for our Country. He was married to Lucinda Jane Shields ( buried in Second Creek Cem, Blanchester,Clinton Co , Oh ) and they had 3 children; Albert, Elizabeth, and Clark and 13 grand-children .I'm not sure how many children Albert had .

James' parents were Isaac BURROUGHS & Anna LAYMON ( both buried in Blanchesrer I.O.O.F. Cem , Clinton Co, Oh )

Grandchildren were ; Thomas Harlan ( buried in Willowview Cem ,Dayton , Montgomery Co , Oh ) ,James Franklin ( buried in Monroe Cem ,Eldorado , Preble Co , Oh ) , Ethel May ( buried in Monroe Cem , Eldorado , Preble Co , Oh ) , and Orval BURROUGHS( buried in Monroe Cem , Eldorado ,Preble Co , Oh ) ;Olive ,Grace and Francis WHITACRE ( all three WHITACRE girls buried in Morrow Cem , Warren Co , Oh )and Alberts children are not yet known .
