Married twice, he and his first wife, Susanah Schweitzer, moved to Blair in 1895. Mrs. High died in Crossfield, Alta., in 1938, and Mr. High moved east and took up residence in New Dundee, where in 1939, he maried Mrs. Angeline Sararus.
Surviving, besides his wife, are seven sons, Alton, Lester, Clayton, Arnold, Alfred, all living in Alberta; Roy, Preston; Daniel, in the R.C.A.F.; one step-son, step-son, Weston Sararus, New Dundee; three daughters, Mrs. Irvin Geick, Madden, Alberta; Mrs. William Bales, Crossfield, Alta. Mrs. Russell Jameson, Calgary; one brother. Daniel, Red Deer, Alta.; three sisters, Mrs. James Shannon, White" Rock, B.C.; Mrs. W. Flemming, Crossfield, Alta.; Maggie High, Red Deer, Alta.; nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild
