Alma Virginia Williamson, 89

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Alma Virginia Williamson, 89, died Jan. 30 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of Jim and Mattie (Quick) Simons; and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D. Williamson in 1998; sisters, Edna Hill, Jessie Simons, Fannie Gross, Minnie Byrd, Ruth Lance, Wilma Edwards, Naomi Roberts and Etta Rigsby; and brothers, Frank, Abe, Joe and Howard Simons.

She is survived by sons and daughters in law, Danny Williamson, Jerry and Linda Faye Williamson, all of McMinnville, Rayford and Linda Williamson of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Jean Hudson of Walling; brothers, J. D. Simons of Tyler, Texas, and Freddie Simons of McLoud, Okla.

Services will be held at 1 p. m. today at High's Chapel with B. J. Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Whitlock Cemetery. Vsitation will be held from 11 a. m. until time of service today at High's.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
