Born Nov. 21, 1866, in the town of Brillion, she was daughter of Carl and Gustine Degner Persohn. Following her marriage to Manrow Schubring on Oct. 20, 1886, at the Brillion Methodist Church, the couple located north of Forest Junction. For the past 13 years, she made her home with her daughter.
Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Schnell, include a second daughter, Mrs. Cora Runge of St. Paul Minn.; two brothers, William of New Holstein, Robert of Brillion; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Freitag of Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Ida Reichardt of Brillion, Mrs. Orin Leverenz of New Holstein; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church at Forest Junction when funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev Theodore Jordan will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
