Dennis Dean "Denny" Anthony, 68, of Rapid City, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Rapid City Regional Auxiliary Hospice House.

Denny was born July 24, 1944 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Able and Twyla (Kappelman) Medearis. His parents divorced, his mother married Raymond D. Anthony.

He graduated from Winner High School, in Winner, South Dakota.

He served in the Military.

He married Carliss in 1962 in Winner, South Dakota. They had no children.

He married Lila Marlene Chambers on June 13, 1964 in Winner, South Dakota. They had one child.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Lila Anthony of Rapid City; his daughter Mrs. Scot (Patty) Heintz of Overland Park, KS; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10am on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Hospice House in Rapid City with Pastor Gregg Hemmen officiating. Internment with full military honors will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
