LC grew up in Swansea with his brother Dave.
He attended the Citadel prior to joining the U.S. Navy and served as a Corpsman in the Pacific during WWII.
After the war he attended Presbyterian College and graduated in the Class of 1948.
A year later on June 3, 1949 he married Mildred Graham Lewis from Conway, SC.
LC was an entrepreneur and built several successful businesses in Columbia, Sumter and Summerville.
His favorite times were with his family and friends at his lake house on Lake Marion where he was the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife Milli, son Lucius and daughter Deborah. At the time of his passing he had two grandchildren Lauren and Benjamin.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
