Laura Louise Wise, age 84 of Chesterton, IN passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. She was born on March 12, 1929 in Hartford, MI to William and Marian (Ainsworth) Stumpf, who preceded her in death. Laura is survived by her sons, Paul (Rose) Wise of Monticello, IN, Dean (Nancy) Wise of Westville, IN; daughters, Lorna (Myron) Porter of Valparaiso, IN, Loretta (Michael) Gobin of Chesterton, IN; daughter in law, Phyllis Wise of Chesterton, IN; 11 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Leroy Wise; son, Jerry Wise; brother, William Stumpf; sisters, Hattie Stumpf, Mabel Burden, and Margaret Hollis. Laura enjoyed sewing, doll collecting, and making quilts. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:00am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304 with Pastor Starett Officiating, burial to follow at Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
