Euvella Hopper Newman, Reeds Spring, MO, daughter of James "Jim" and Versa (Richardson) Hedrick was born on January 30, 1919 in Reeds Spring, MO and departed this life early Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Wentzville, MO, at the age of 94.
Euvella was the longtime owner of the Snack Bar and Gateway Café in Reeds Spring, MO. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Euvella was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Harley Hopper and Eugene Hopper; one daughter, Diane Wells Brooks; one brother, Deward Hedrick and three sisters, Rena Hopper, Elizabeth Mills and Dorothy Ecker.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn Hopper Strome; eleven grandchildren, Darrell Hopper, Dayna White, Suzanne Grey, Bill Hopper, Teresa Melton, Brad Strohm, Melissa Gutting, Lisa Kearney-Doyle, Cindy Brown, Justin Brooks and Mitchell Brooks; seventeen great grandchildren; seven great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO with Jim Cantrell Officiating. Burial was under the direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
