Dies at Work

Stricken with apoplexy as he started his day's work shortly after 7 o'clock this morning at the Corbin Cabinet Lock machine room, Frank A. Sandquist of No. 449 Stanley circuit, died before the arrival of the medical lad. Mr. Sandquist appeared to be in good health when he left his home, but had hardly donned his overalls and started his machine when he was seen to totter and fall toward the machine. Dr. John B. Purney was called but death arrived first. Medical Examiner Lyon pronounced death due to apoplexy.

Mr. Sandquist was 62 years old and had been in New Britain about 17 years.

He was born in Sweden and lived for some time in North Grosvenordale. He had been employed at the New Britain Machine Co. and the Stanley Works plats. He is survived by his wife and four sons: Lambert E., Arthur A., David A., and Herbert R. Sandquist; two grandsons, Raymond A. and Robert A. Sandquist; two granddaughters, Florence DeBay and Dorothy Freudenthal. He was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
