Venus was the daughter of Jesse and Marian L. (Houghton) Covey, who were married May 22, 1906 in Honesdale, Pa. Jesse's mother Alice Covey resided in Scranton, Pa. at the time. Marian later married William J. Cross. Jesse was a glasscutter born c. 1887 in Fleetville, Pa. Marian was born in Honesdale, Pa. Venus was survived by her husband Elmer F. Williams.
