Alexander C Lawson was an early pioneer of the City of Long Beach. He was born in Alabama in 1847. He fought in the Civil War on the Confederate side. He was a retired clergyman, held a professorship at Lee University of Virginia. He lived in Long Beach for 24 years. He was the third city prosecutor and was a well respected judge at the time of his death.
