Alfred Hunter Capps, 76, of Rt. 14 (Hackett's Lake Road) died Wednesday at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Chapel with the Rev. James Drinkard officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and had lived here since 1925. He retired 11 years ago from Thompson-Arthur Paving Co. where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Ruth Morris Capps; sisters Mrs. Ruth Huffman and Mrs. Lois DeViney of Greensboro; brothers, Floyd E. and A. C. Capps of Greensboro.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.
