Rebecca Sue Coleman, 60, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Elm Mott. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with James Drysdale officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 13, at the funeral home.

Rebecca was born in Waco, Texas, to Arthur F. and Zaye Ruth (Osborn) Coleman. She graduated from LaVega High School in 1971, started her career at Hillcrest Hospital, graduated Nursing School in 1975 and eventually earned her Master's and PhD in nursing. Rebecca worked at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas for about 40 years. She enjoyed decorating and attended the Pentecostal Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her father in September, 2006; and her grandparents, Shipp and Allene Osborn; and her beloved cockatiel, Hip Hop.

Survivors include her mother, Zaye Ruth Coleman, of Bellmead; brothers, James Coleman and wife, Audrey Eron, of Waco, and Michael Coleman and wife, Susan, of Bellmead; sisters, Sharon Drysdale and husband, James, of Elm Mott, Judy McCaig and husband, Neal, of Bellmead, and Ruth Blosser and husband, James, of North Zulch; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special cockatiel, Marsha Peep.
