Brenda Robinette Stinson went to be with her Lord and savior on Nov. 9, 2008. She was 59.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Post Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Dothan Baptist Children's Home
Brenda was a dedicated member of Post Oak Baptist Church. She was affectionately known as "NANNY." Her world revolved around her girls and grandchildren. If you knew her, she always had a story about one of the grands. Brenda worked at WTVY News 4. When she wasn't working, she could be found at a ball field cheering on one of the grands. She was always willing to do whatever she needed to help those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Nell Robinette.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Stinson of Ozark; four daughters, Marie (Paul) Bludsworth of Skipperville, Jackilyn (Mike) Garner of Ariton, Denise (Jud) Steed of Ozark, Katie (Clay) Thorne of Ashford; seven grandchildren: Chelsea and Taylor Bludsworth, Brandon and Blake Garner, Paxton Steed, Zach and Abigail Thorne; three brothers, Fulton, Randy and Terry Robinette; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Edna Stinson; aunts, Matred Barefoot and Ruth Sasser; and a dear friend, Dana Alums. Several extended family members, nieces and nephews also survive.
