DICKINSON - Funeral Services for Mrs. Agnes Bay will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2001, at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque. Minister Chad Rankin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bay was born October 4, 1924, in Galveston, Texas to the late Allen Jones, Sr. and Virginia Simmons Jones. She was a longtime resident of Dickinson, Texas. She was a devoted member of the New Beginnings Church of League City, she was also a member of the Galveston County Sacred Music Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Bay was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeretha Lynn Ray and two brothers, Allen Jones, II and Peter Ross.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband of 27 years, Nathaniel Bay of Dickinson; her children, Josephine Jones Smith of Dickinson, Willie Lawrence of Houston, Eva Williams of Corpus Christi, Bernice Brown of League City, Geraldine Brown of Corpus Christi, Paulette Simmons of Dickinson, Stephanie Thorpe of Houston and Charles Nathaniel Bay of Lufkin; and brothers, Virginia Mae Abney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Elsie White, Robert Jones, Joseph Ross, Paul Taylor and Christopher
Taylor all of Dickinson; 9 grandchildren; and a host of
great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members, devoted neighbors, her church family and many devoted friends.
