Obituary of J. C. Manship

John Calvin Manship, 65, former resident of Latta, died unexpectedly in Baltimore, Md., Monday morning.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 A. M. from the Bethea Funeral Home in Latta, conducted by the Rev. D. C. Gregory of the Southern Methodist Church of Latta, assisted by the Rev. J. R. Dennis pastor of the Latta Methodist Church. The funeral cortege will leave Latta at 11:30; A. M., Thursday for Tatum where he will be buried.

Friends may call at the Bethea Funeral Home until time for the service.

He is survived by two sons, John C. Manship, Jr. of Charlotte, N.C. And William Manship of Los Angeles, Cal.; four brothers, David Manship and Frank Manship of Miami, Fla, R. L. Manship of Kingman, Ariz., and Jesse Manship of Baltimore, MD.; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Covington of Latta; also three grandchildren.

Mr. Manship was born at McColl of May 8 1889, the son of the late Lorenzo and Molly Gibson Manship.
