Robert "Bob" H. Groskreutz, age 57 of Redgranite, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. He was born on December 21, 1955 as the oldest son of Harvey and Beverly (Ernst) Groskreutz. He graduated from Wautoma High School. On April 28, 1990, he married Christy (Schultz) Jahnke at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin and shared 23 years together.

Phantom, as his trucker friends called him, worked for various farmers before becoming a truck driver with Kelly Sand and Gravel, Weiland Trucking and then Plainfield Trucking. He was a dedicated volunteer with over 30 years of service between the Wautoma Area and Redgranite Area Fire Departments. Bob worked very hard supporting his family, was very giving and always willing to help others. Phantom enjoyed spending time with family, tinkering in the garage, playing with his big Case farm tractors, fishing, gardening, card/board games and just recently tried to take the air hockey championship away from his wife! He almost became addicted to the Angry Birds game his grandchildren taught him to play!

Bob wil be greatly and deeply missed by his girls, Christy, Sarah (daughter) and Rebekah (daughter). He is the proud father of Frank (Carrie) Jahnke, Neshkoro, and Matthew (Alison) Jahnke, Omaha NE and a typical bragging grandfather to Trevor and Emily (Neshkoro) and Peyton and Elijah, Omaha NE.

He is further survived by his brothers, David (Barb) and John, Wautoma; brother-in-laws, Gary (Karen) Schultz, Wautoma, and Larry (Christie) Schultz, Mequon; special cousins Ben, Danny, Linda, Mark, Linda, Lana, Dale and Leann well as many aunts, uncles and other cousins and Ryan, Adam and Susan. He is preceded in death by his parents, special Uncles Bill and Ben and his inlaws, Kenneth and Joyce Schultz.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Redgranite. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Sluke with burial to follow in Woodville Cemetery, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 5 to 8PM at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma and again on Monday at church from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
