Nancy Arlene (Pence) Kersey, age 45, of Standard Mterials Rd, Metamora, died on April 8th 1999, after having a brain aneurysm burst. She was born the daughter of the late Boyd Allen Pence, and Mary Lucille (Steele) Pence/Bunyard. Boyd passed away on November 22nd, 1993, and Mary recently passed away on August 28th, 2014. Nancy is survived by her husband, Roy Gilbert Kersey Sr, of Laurel sons Tony kersey of Laurel, Terry Kersey of Brookville, and Roy Gilbert Kersey jr.of Brookville. Nancy is also survived by her son Terry's 3 sons, Austin Kersey, Avery Kersey, and Alex Kersey. Nancy was a homemaker most of the time, and worked hard taking care of her family, cooking and cleaning, and being a kind and caring mother, who was very close to her children, and who was very loving to all. Nancy is also survived by her 5 siblings, Carol Sue (Suzie)(Pence) Abercrombie of Connersville, Wanda Kay (Pence) Reese of Brookville, Danny Allen Pence of Metamora, Marcia West of Batesville, and Michael Boyd Pence of Greensburg. Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Nancy's funeral was held at Cooks funeral home in Brookville, with the Rev. Everett Quinton, of the Free Nazarene Church of Laurel, and she was layed to rest in the Mountain Assembly Cemetery in Metamora, on Haytown hill Rd, on top of Haytown Hill.
