William Timothy "Bill" Shank, age 75, of Green Bank, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening, May 7, 2013, at Rockingham Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Born July 17, 1937, at Romney, he was a son of the late Samuel Leroy and Rita Ann Stover Shank.

Bill was a Navy Veteran, a member of the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren, American Legion and was a retired Electronic Technician with NRAO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William A. Shank.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Janet Louis Chaney Shank; a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Pritt, and husband, Johnny A., of Minnehaha Springs; a son, Michael Scott Shank, and wife, Janell, of Mt. Sidney, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Shank, of Hinton; grandchildren, Andrew Guy Pritt, Heather Ann Pritt, Matthew William Pritt, Christina Marie Bolton, Nicole Harvey and Amber Harvey; and sisters, Betty Butcher, of Woodstock, Virginia, Mary Agnes Thomas, and husband, Phillip, of Stuart, Florida, Minnie Lee Shank and Carol Joe Shillenburg, both of Front Royal, Virginia.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service is Saturday, May 11, 11 a.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Julian Rittenhouse officiating. Interment with Military Rites by the Pocahontas County Honor Guard will be in the Arbovale Cemetery.
