"Donald E. Hall, 49, of Dallas and formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, April 19, 1993, in Dallas, after a long illness of cancer.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at the Christy Morningside Funeral Home, with the Rev. Laura Nedeau-Owen of St. Luke Lutheran Church officiating Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hall was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Omaha, and was raised in the Hornick, Iowa area. He graduated from Holly Springs-Hornick High School in 1961, and received his bachelor's degree, then his master's in 1967, from the University of Iowa. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. He worked for Bastian-Blessing in Chicago and owned and managed Exclusive Gifts in Sioux City and Elliott's in Palm Beach, Fla. He moved to Dallas around 1981, and married Catherine Cummins there Jan. 8, 1988. He was a real estate broker in Dallas and had bought, restored, and sold six homes.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church at Hornick.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Laura Hall of Dallas; a stepson, Jonathan Moseley of Dallas; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara and James Golding of Waukesha, Wis., and Diana and Martin Swain of Seattle, Wash.; a niece, nephews, a great-nephew, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cedric and Ethel Hall.

Memorial donations may be directed to the National Cancer institute."
