Robert James Jump, age 82 of Effort, and Getz's Personal Care Home in Jonas passed away on October 4th at the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. Robert was the loving and devoted husband of the late Goldie Marion (Congdon) Jump who passed away August 12, 2002. He was born in Masonville, NY on October 26, 1927 and the son of the late Rueben and Frances (Pierce) Jump. Robert worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Northrup Grumman in Bethpage, NY for over 20 years until retiring. Robert was an active member of Middlecreek Christian Church in Kresgeville. We have been blessed with the depth of Robert's love for us and for the way his loved has touched our hearts forever. He cherished the time he spent with his sons: James Robert Jump and his wife Jeanne Marie of Whitehall; Reuben Thayer Jump of West Babylon, NY. He was a loving and gentle grandpa to his 2 grandsons: Christopher Ryan and Corey Matthew Jump both of Whitehall. Robert is also survived by 2 brothers: Ralph Jump of Georgia and Bert Jump of Bainbridge, NY; a sister: Lillian Jump of Florida. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Frank and Clarence Jump. Robert's enjoyment of life, love of family and God are gifts we will carry with us forever. Robert will be buried next to his loving wife Goldie at the Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville.
