LIVINGSTON, MAX E., family man and decorated war veteran passed away at age 82 Thursday, September 28. He was a part of the Italian Campaign during WWII in the European Theater of operations, captured on the beach of Anzio, and later taken to Germany as POW.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lewis Livingston of 30 years, and one sister, Anita Crenshaw. Mr. Livingston is survived by his wife, Anita Evans Livingston; 2 sons, Ken Livingston of Gulf Shores, Randy (Connie) Livingston of Kennesaw, GA, 1 daughter, Traci Orris of Gardendale, 6 grandchildren, Amy and Chris Livingston of Gulf Shores, Lacie Orris of Gardendale, Amber Livingston of Kennesaw, GA, Lura and Sydney Fuller of Birmingham, 1 step daughter, Vickie (Joe) Fuller, 1 stepson, Rocky (Janice) Evans of Birmingham. Max is also survived by 2 brothers, Bobby Livingston of Pensacola and George (Karen) Livingston of Waco, TX, 3 sisters, Dean Roberson of LaGrange, GA, Betty (Ray) Boles of Tempe, AZ, and Frances Anderson of Tempe; many friends and employees of Carlile Barbecue. Max was a member of Gardendale Masonic Lodge, Zamora Shrine Temple and The American Legion of Eastlake.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 30, 3 p.m. at Johns Ridout's Gardendale, with interment at Oakwood Memorial in Gardendale. Service by Reverend John Verciglio of Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alabama Veterans Memorial Foundation, PO Box 36972, Birmingham, AL 35236
