Ramona was born on July 15, 1920 in Chadron, Nebraska the daughter of John and Edith (Hoyt) Hanson. She grew up in the Harrison, Nebraska area where she received her education; graduating from Sioux County High School in 1938. Ramona went on to attend the University of Nebraska for two years. She married William Coffee at Harrison on September 26, 1940. The couple lived east of Harrison where Ramona taught school in 1942 for one year for the Harrison District #50 . The couple then moved to the Prairie Center Community in 1945 where they ranched . They retired in 1968 and moved to Torrington, Wyoming.
Ramona was a member of the Prairie Center Homemakers, a charter member of the Goshen County Cowbelles, a member of the SouthEast Wyoming Artist Association and she was a 4-H sewing leader for 14 years.
Ramona enjoyed doing Genealogy, square dancing, painting, bowling, sewing, and refinishing furniture.
She is survived by two sons, Robert W. (Sharon) Coffee of Shoshoni, Wyoming, and Donald M. Coffee of Torrington, Wyoming; three daughters, Jean R. (Wayne) Mower of Claymont, Deleware, Joanne M. Coffee of Torrington, Wyoming, and Carolyn S. (David) Olson of Gillette, Wyoming; a brother-in-law, Ray Uhrich of Magnolia, Arkansas, and a sister-in-law, Lois "Frankie" Hanson of Big Bear Lake, California; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, two brothers, William C. Hanson and John W. Hanson, and one sister, Mazie L. Uhrich.
