Mr. Carl Edward Wilcher, Sr, age 78, of Finley, KY, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born on February 3, 1934 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Wilcher was a retired farmer.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Virginia Paris Wilcher; parents, Donzie W. Sr. and Ruby Mae Shipp Wilcher; son, Michael Moore; daughter, Carolyn Wilcher; grandson, D.J. Wilcher; brother, Lawrence Wilcher.

Survivors include two sons, Rev. Carl (Calla) Wilcher, Jr, of Mt. Sterling, KY, David (Kim) Wilcher, of Lawrenceburg, KY; two daughters, Donna Ann Wilcher, of Finley. KY, Deborah (Roger) Bast, of Campbellsville, KY; four brothers, Donzie Wilcher, Jr, of Cox's Creek, KY, Randall Wilcher, of Cox's Creek, KY, James Wilcher, of Lebanon, KY, Thomas Wilcher, of Campbellsville, KY; eight sisters, Jeanette Kays, of Bowling Green, KY, Virginia Moore, of Louisville, KY, Boonie Johnson, of Louisville, KY, Louise Wright, of Cox's Creek, KY, Mary Helen Newcomb, of Lebanon, KY, Myrtle Buckman, of Campbellsville, KY, Ruth Buckman, of Campbellsville, KY, Rita Wise,of Campbellsville, KY. Also surviving are twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by his son, Rev. Carl Edward Wilcher, Jr. Interment will be in the Old Liberty Cemetery.
