Robert Leonard Haddock, 65, a retired inspector, died Sept. 15, 1990, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Mr. Haddock, a native of Pitt County, N.C., had retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility. He was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, where he served on the board of deacons. He was a past master of Doric Masonic Lodge 44, past district deputy grand master of the 36th Masonic District, and past worthy patron of Order of the Eastern Star, Berkley chapter 52. He was a member of the Masons of Virginia, Ionic Royal Arch, chapter 46, Valley of the Orient, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Chesapeake Shrine Club. He was a member and provost sergeant of Khedive Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic Provost of the Shrine Associations of America and was a charter member of the Knights of Mecca. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chesapeake chapter, and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Evans Haddock; a daughter, Cecelia H. Shake of Chesapeake; two sons, Jerry Wayne Haddock of Highland Mills, N.Y., and Leland H. Haddock of Chesapeake; his mother, Tiny Robinson Haddock of Greenville, N.C.; five sisters, Agnes Pehle of Chesapeake, Penny Garris and Vernicia Haddock, both of Greenville, Jeanette Haddock of Virginia Beach and Grace Bonner of Aurora, N.C.; a brother, William "Jinx" Haddock of Farmville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Ronald L. Eason. Burial with masonic rites will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
