Cowboy was born August 31, 1931 in Tuckerman, AR to William and Minnie Ferguson. He lived in Oil City for 56 years coming during the Oil Boom. He worked as a rig operator and pumper in the Oilfield. He loved to go hunting and fishing. He loved working and was a hardworking man, he always provided for his family. He loved his family and he was the best dad ever. He never had a bad word for anyone. Friday, the day of his service will be he and Dovie's 61st wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife Dovie Tubbs Ferguson of Oil City, his sons; Tony C. Ferguson of Oil City, LA and Kenny Tubbs of Blackrock, AR, his daughters, Janine Bell Fetzar, Phyllis Ann Heflin, Vann Jean Adams and Terri Lynn Alexander all of Oil City, LA, his sisters; Anne Kious and husband Freddie of Jonesboro, AR, Betty Winchester and husband Harold of Tuckerman, AR and his brother Sonny Furgeison and wife Mary of Oil City, LA, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
