The funeral of Mrs John Devere was held yesterday morning, with services from Immaculate Conception. Among the many beautiful floral tributes was a cross of lillies and roses from the fellow employees of Mr. Devere, with the Brown Coal Company.

Per 1917 newspaper story involving her daughter, Mary Alma, she had a sister named Nelia Powers. So Catherine was most likely daughter of Patrick & Catherine Walsh.
