Mrs. Patsy Ann Braly Watkins, 82, of Barry, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel in Corsicana with Mr. Jeff Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas.

Patsy Ann was born in Barry, Texas, to the late John and Anna Clay Braly. Pat married Wayne L. "Scott" Watkins on November 10, 1951. She started her nursing career for Dr. John Griffin at Medical Arts Clinic in Corsicana, Texas in 1958. The family moved to Lovington, New Mexico, in 1962 where she continued nursing for a local physician and later became a surgical nurse supervisor of Lea General Hospital until 1982. They moved back to Corsicana and she worked for PEDIA at Navarro County Health Department with Pearl Reynolds and other nursing staff until she retired in 2005 due to health reasons. Pat was a dedicated nurse for over 30 years. She was also a very talented seamstress as was noted in her work. She was a lady of many talents; she also enjoyed oil painting as a hobby. Pat remained a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lovington, New Mexico and that was always her church home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Scott Watkins; and a sister, Naomi Arnold.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan McMath and husband, Jack, of Corsicana, Texas; grandsons, Justin Hooper, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jason Hooper and wife, Amee, of Corsicana, Texas, and Bankston McMath and wife, Brittany, also of Corsicana, Texas; great-grandsons, Shane Hooper, Jackson McMath, Clark Hooper, and Tucker McMath, all of Corsicana; sister, Billie Jo Conger, of Corsicana, Texas; brother, John Wade Braly and wife, Marcia Lou, of Barry, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
