Brian Austin, the son of
Nathaniel and Beverly (Starks)
Tanner, was bom Feb. 13, 1950,
in Ashtabula, Ohio. He
graduated from Edgewood High
School in Ashtabula and then
attended DeVry Institute of
Chicago. He later attended
heavy equipment school in
Murphysboro, Tenn.
Mr. Tanner served in England
in the United States Air Force
during the Vietnam War.
On Oct. 5, 1997, he married
Shelly Ann Lewis in Storm
Lake. The couple moved to
Rembrandt from Neligh, Neb. in
October of 1998.
Mr. Tanner was a truck driver
and owned and operated his own
rig. He was an avid fan of
NASCAR racing and the late
Dale Earnhart. In his early
years, he raced dragsters and
loved quarter horses.
He was preceded in death by
his grandparents.
