Raymond Clifford McBride (Ray) January 6, 1940-May 5, 2013

Ray McBride celebrated his life in a variety of special ways every day. He had a very generous heart and always wanted to help others in any way he could, whether by giving tips on gardening or just straight up advice. Ray loved the horse races, shopping for bargains and gardening in his yard. He liked feeding and caring for the birds in his yard and observing their behavior and interaction with one another. Throughout the years, several feral cats "adopted" Ray and enjoyed the wonderful home he provided for them.

One of the things Ray enjoyed most was spending time with his son Tony and his wife Shawn. They would always light up his life with good company and great cooking (from Shawn) and the special time spent together always seemed to go by in a flash.

The visits from his step-daughter Joy and her husband Ken always led to a variety of interesting conversation which was enjoyed by all.

Ray loved having coffee and long visits in the company of his close friend and neighbor, Dee.

Tom, his friend and neighbor of 30 years could talk about everything from engines to current events.

Ray also enjoyed Robert and Jasmine's company and their entertaining children.

Other neighbors like Hardy and Mary were never at a loss for a lively conversation and he always had great and entertaining visits with his longtime friend Donna.

Everyone who knew Ray and kept company with him went away knowing they were special to him.

You will be missed Ray McBride by all who knew and loved you.

Till we meet again.

Raymond Clifford McBride was born January 6, 1940 to William and Mildred (Insley) McBride in Zanesville, Ohio. Ray passed away on May 5. 2013 in the care of hospice and surrounded by family.
