Father of Henry Noethlich Dies --- Funeral Services Hold at Ute for Former Resident In This Community ---

Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church at Ute Thursday, December 27, for Ferdinand Herman Noethlich, 73 year old resident of Ute and father of Henry Noethlich of Mapleton.
Mr. Noethlich died December 22 in Cherokee. He had been in Failing health for several years.
Rev. Hugo Nieting, pastor of the church, officiated and interment was in St. Clair cemetery near Ute.
Son of Ferdinand and Adeline Muesy Noethlich, he was born March 19, 1869 in Grafton, Wis., coming to Mapleton in 1884 with his parents and brother.
He was married to Miss Dorothea Ragis in the Soldier township church December 21, 1892. They farmed near Mapleton for 8 years, moving in 1900 to Ute, where he carpentered for more than 40 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Noethlich celebrated their "Golden Wedding" anniversary in December 1942.
He is survived by 3 sons, Henry of Mapleton, Leonard ofUte and Herbert of San Bernardino, Calf.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Minnie Robinson of Clarion; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A grandson, Ervin Hass, was reared by the Noethlich's and is now in the Armed Forces. Another grandson, Lauren Robinson, also is in the service.
