Brenda Kay Martin Bowen, 64, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday May 5, 2013 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Ruel "Bud" and Gladys Drury Martin.
She was a member of Anderson Christian Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School class. She was a Funeral Director for Gash Memorial Chaper for 27 years, an employee of L&W Emergency Equipment for nine years and was a former hairdresser for Curlette Beauty Shop.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Calvin Hunt Bowen, Jr; a brother, Gary Martin and his wife, Pam; all of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Lula Euliano, Norma Jean Royalty and Bernice Thomas; brother-in-lasw, Raymond (Vena) Bowen, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8 at 1 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dan Lillipop, Bro. Brandon Dulaney and Lance Roe officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life, c/o Derek Ruble, 106 Hamlin Way, Lawrenceburg, Ky 40342.
Casketbearers will be Louis Sea, Lance Roe, Kenneth Gill, Kenneth Monroe, Jimmy Dale Hawthorne, Philip Azzinaro, Steve Goodlett and Kerry Markwell.
