Marilyn Mae (McCarty) Owen was born on February 28, 1933 at home in Lake City to William and Lula (Hasty) McCarty. On February 5, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert Owen at First Baptist Church in Lake City.
Marilyn is survived by her son Dan Owen of Carroll, brother William (Karen) McCarty, Jr. of California, sister Virginia (Harold) DeLong of Auburn, and sister-in-law LaVon McCarty of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, sons Timothy and Ronald, and brothers Vaughn, Armour and Merle McCarty.
