Mrs. Patsy Ruth Robinson Knight
May 29, 1934 - May 4, 2013
Knoxville, Tennessee

Knight, Patsy Ruth, age 78, of Knoxville, suddenly passed on Saturday morning, May 4, 2013, to her heavenly home into the welcoming presence of her Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ whom she had faithfully and lovingly served since childhood, and now can worship Him fully. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden and a retired first grade teacher from Tate's School of Discovery.

Patsy's first love, however, was her family. She loved to be wife, mom, and grandma. And love she did! Attending to the needs of her family, borne out of a totally unselfish heart and unceasing sensitivity and caring spirit were the hallmarks of the joyful life she lived. To know Patsy was to love her. The warmth and generosity were genuine and consistent, and her big smile and laugh were contagious.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Spencer and Myrtle Robinson; sisters Clara Mowry and Norma Felkner.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Lester "Les" Knight; her adoring children Tim Knight and Becky Cameron and son-in-law, Rob Cameron, all of Knoxville and Kent Knight of Atlanta, GA; loving grandsons, Jake and Jackson Knight; sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Morris Good of Williamsport, PA; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles and Ruth and Robinson of Kimberling City, MO, and a host of nieces, nephews, former school teacher colleagues, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Central Baptist Church, Bearden with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00 PM. Dr. Larry Fields and Reverend Mark Moreland officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Salvation Army, 409 North Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917 or to the Samaritan's Purse International Relief, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Salvation of Army or Samaritan's Purse. Online condolences may be sent to www.rosemortuary.com. Arrangements provided by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
